Well well looks like this is the year for love and marriage and all that foolishness... wait a minute, that came out wrong!!!! Nix that sentance!! Ahem... now as I was saying, yeah this is the year for marriage and engagements. Alright, ROLLCALL!!!! here we go, those who got married are (I'll only use one name for sake of repetitiveness: Ben, Dan, Dave, Joel, Randy, in one week Tanya, If I'm forgetting anyone don't let me know. now for those who are engaged: Joe, Derek, Mike S., Rachel, Kate, Lauren, Jaimie and last but certainly not least Me and Stephanie. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I'm against this but rather on the contrary. I'm very excited for these people and I send them my congratulations, best wishes and prayers and hope that they have long and happy relationships. Yeah so I've been obsessed with this group lately called The Blue Man Group. This is composed mainly around three guys (with backup band) and they are percussionists. and good ones at that. Anyway this is them doing Teenage Wasteland by The Who on the finale of America's got talent. I'll post more of these guys later because they are awesome. anyway enjoy.

This past weekend I attended a "mini MCF" held at BCC (Bayview Christian Camp) on Deer Island. It was a blast. Mike Hogg spoke and did an amazing job. Also the worship was great. Fredericton's gruop led the weekend in worship and also with planning and I think they did a great job.

Also, Monday night I attended a "Geek Night" held at the camp. Jeff hosted it and there we planned to watch all six Star Wars Movies in order. We got to episode 5 before we ended. It was fun. Of course I was dead tired Tuesday. Yeah so...

MY BIRTHDAY IS 3 DAYS AWAY!!!!!! Soon I will be 2-0. I will be 2 decades old... yikes! Anyway I gotta jet. Talk to ya'll later.

PS: Kevin's Bag of Goodies has officially been deleted. I just wasn't able to keep it up. So if there is anyone who checks out the goodies, it's not there. Anyway Have a nice week!!!

Camp, Baptisms and Yesses(Is that a word?)

WELL... where should I begin with this post. For those of you who havn't noticed. My last update was on June 30th and here it is August 1st. Now normally I'd say nothing has happened but that would be a bigger lie than saying penguins are not cool. But now the problem is "Where to begin?"

Well let's start off with the earliest. July 2nd marked an important day in the 2006 year on Deer Island. Camp begins. Now the way it works is that there are 4 camps, each with a different age bracket. First this year was the 12-13 Camp led by Jeff. Next was the 10-11 Cap led by Glen. Then the 8-9 Camp led by Gilles. Then finally the high school camp led by Dan. All the camps went well, except for people being thrown off cliffs, busted heads, cut knees, concussions, sprains and so on and so forth....................Anyway back to important stuff.

July 16th will now be a very important day for two Island Youth. Gavin Mitchell and Chelsea Martin confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and were baptized. It's a great thing to see this happen. The road will be tough for these two but I know they can do it. Please be in Prayer for these two.

Now let's see... Anything else I'm forgetting... I can't think of anything right off the top of my head... oh wait there was something else!!!... I just can't remember what it was... Man what was it... Oh Yeah!!!! I GOT ENGAGED!!!!! Yes the MCC epidemic has caught up to me and on July 6th 2006 I asked my lovely (then) girlfriend Stephanie to marry me. Wait a minute... I think that came out wrong. I did not mean that she became unlovely when I asked her to marry me. She is still lovely and very beautiful. What I meant was, that at the time she was my girlfriend. (Phew... dug myslef out of that grave.) Anyway that's all the news at this hour and we'll see you tomorrow. I mean...I'll see you tomorrow. I mean... Sometime.........................................................BYE!!!

If you remember, a few months ago I posted a entry on how movies are becoming less and less original. Well, now that feeling has respawned and is stronger than before. Just out of curiosity I wanted to see just how many movies were based on video games. Well as I was searching I came across a wikipedia article entitled, "List of films based on video games" So I thought "sweet, here we go" and did this site deliver. not only did it show a list of movies already made, it gave a list of movies announced or in production, and I nearly just about died. Whether it was from laughter or disappointment I don't know, but I was shocked. Here is a list of SOME of the movies coming out that are based on video games.

Well hello to all you angry thekevolution readers (even if there's only two of you). Someone told me I should update my blog so here I am. (I really gotta get at this thing more often.) So let's see where do I begin?

Well I'm back on Deer Island for the second summer in a row. Things are going good here. I've been here for about two weeks now and I'm loving it.

Also, Camp starts next Sunday (June 2nd). man I can't wait, it's gonna be a blast. It'll also be interesting to see how Dan hurts himself this year. lol. Anyway I have to get back to going over some lessons. ttyl.

School's Out For Summer !..!

Yes booyah school is out, even though I realize this is a little late. Well it's been awhile so let's see... what's new.... nothing. j/k Quite a bit has happened. I left MCC (with plans to return) with my one year biblical certificate. And now I'm at home waiting to here about the Job I have lined up over the summer. Hopefully if all works out I'll be back on Deer Island for the summer. Anyway I'm gettin tired, so I'm gonna get to bed. Talk to y'all later.

Eternal Love

Hello again, sorry it's been awhile. I just have one thing I'd like you guys to know.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:38-39
This is my favorite passage in the Bible. It is a clear understanding that no matter what we face in our lives, no matter what hardships come in our way, that the love of God will ALWAYS be with us. His love is there and it will never go away. So if you've been having a bad day, or maybe something bad has happened to you, or even if you're just fed up and think no one cares about you or loves you, I want you think about these verses. And ralize that someone does care about you, and loves you. And even when we didn't deserve it, even when we've all gone against God and turned our backs to him, he still loved us so much that he sent his son to die for our sins. And in this way, we have been justified. Because of Jesus' sacrifice, if we choose to accept him as Lord and Savior, we can have eternal life in heaven. Anyway I just wanted to get that off my chest. Have a good weekend. Bon Voyagee!!!

Well I'm back in the Newbie town of good ol' SJ. Exams are over, Papers are over and I'm back home where thaeres free board and free food. Oh yeah, and my friends and family are here. Anyway... Christmas time... my favorite time of the year, except for the white devil known as snow.Now don't get me wrong, I love the LOOK of snow just not the feeling. Now if snow was warm, which would be impossible, I would love it. But we all know that snow cannot be warm or else it would be raining. anyway.

Yes Christmas, I can't wait. we put up our tree last night and we're decorating it tonight. I can't wait. Anyway that is all for this week. See ya.

Hello, it's me again with another sorry excuse at why my blog isn't being updated. School sucks. Anyway I've been living the quiet life over here at MCC and things are going good, or well, or however it's supposed to be. darn english class. So yeah the semester is just about over I only have 2 more classes until exams start. I have dubbed this week the week of stress.

My Girlfriend stephanie just finished the last of her exams so I'm feeling a strong sense of anger. Love you Stephaie. Anyway, This is me once again telling you that i hope to get this blog updated on a bi-weekly (approx) basis, so i guess i'll see you in another few months. Au Revoir. (ps. I don't like French)

Sorry all, I've been without internet for awhile. The access I have are on these computers in the lab of good ol' MCC. I should be getting the internet up in my room within a few days and I'll most likely be updating it every two days, to try and get caught up because a LOT has happened. VBS

Well, VBS is here, it has arrived. Last night we had 40 kids/Footballs. The reason I call them footballs is because a lot of times I get the urge to just boot them. But at least it's a good thing that they come.

40 Kids now have the oppurtunity to learn about God and the things he has done in a fun and memorable way. Although the urge to boot them keeps rising, I try to remember this:

These kids hold the church's future. If we can teach these kids about God and the great and miraculous things he did and continues to do, our hope is more assured. The world gets more and more sinful every day, as we are influenced by things we see. If we can secure these kids in a relationship with God, we throw another wrench into satan's wheel.

Speaking of which, two young ladies came forward this weekend to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. I ask anyone who reads this, to keep Kendra and Dana in your prayers as they take this major step in life.

Anyway this is my speal (Is that how it's spelled?) for the day.

MCF

Well MCF (Maritime Christian Fellowship) was last weekend and needless to say, I had a blast. It's always great seeing people you havn't seen in a while. I got to see pretty much all the people from the college again which was great. Also I got to see the people from my church. I'm really beginning to miss them.

Anyway, The speaker, Michael Hogg, did a great job with his messages. The overall theme this year was pretty much Heaven, and what it and we will be like.

Overall it was a great weekend. One of the nights we had a campfire and I brought out my guitar and we started to sing some songs, Some were worshipful and some were silly. But something amazing happened that night. We were singing the song God of Wonders, and there is one part in the chorus where it goes, "The Universe declares your majesty," and at that moment shooting stars were going crazy, I didn't know how many showed up but I've about 8 at once. It was really cool.

Anyway, just to let you know I'm opening up a new blog. I'll be doing my more serious stuff in this blog. But if you've noticed, when i first started this blog I said I would post some funny jokes or pics as well. But as you can tell I havn't been doing that. So this blog is devoted to just that It might take me a while to get some material for it but I should be posting stuff soon. At Camp

Sorry for the delay but i've been at camp the last 3 weeks. It was great.

There is going to be a baptism this sunday for one of the kids at camp. His name is Alex and I hope that you keep him in your prayers. Anyway I'm in a little bit of a rush so, i'll update this again later.

Big Weekend: Home, Sermon, Canada Day...

Yeah so this was a pretty eventful weekend for me. On Friday, I went to a Canada Day festival at Deer Island point. And later that evening me and Jeff went to Saint John because we have a practice for MCF on Saturday. It's gonna rule our team has 7 members: 2 Singers, 1 Singer/keyboardist, 2 Electric Guitars, 1 Acoustic Guitar, and 1 bass guitar. Like i said before it's gonna rule.

Anyway Friday evening i got to see my parents. It's been a while so it was nice to see them again.

Saturday Morning, I said good-bye to my parents and went to the worship team practice, after a nice 3 hour practice me and Jeff went out to eat then came back to Deer Island. Then I finished writing my sermon that i was giving tomorrow.

That night there was fireworks out at the Deer Island Point. They were quite impressive.

This morning I was shaving getting ready for church when I heard a knock on the door. I clean my face off and opened the door and there's my Dad and my Aunt!!! They came to hear my sermon. After the initial shock, they came in to my house and we left for church. My sermon went well but it was short, 10 minutes. After that I took my Aunt out for dinner and here I am now.

People complemented my sermon, they said it was very good. It's always nice to receive compliments isn't it?

Movies and Penguins... Nice Combination

Is it just me or are movie makers running out of ideas. I was looking at some of the movies coming or being made this year and i was starting to feel sick to my stomach. Here is a list of movies coming out that are either sequals or remakes or have the idea of another movie.

My second Sermon

So.... I'm giving my second sermon this sunday at Lord's Cove. This is my first since I've been on Deer Island. I'm doing it on the transforming power of Christ. And how he works in our lives and in the lives of others. It's going to be a narrative, which means pretty much a story. Anyway I'll let you all (well.... whoever reads this blog ) know how it goes.
